- The Desires of Ego versus the Desires of Source Power
Ego is always wanting approval. Ego is needy of things. Ego wants money to feel secure. Ego wants a relationship for social approval. Ego wants a relationship to be at peace. Ego wants money in bank account to be peaceful. Ego is stressful business basically. Always working from the premise of incompleteness.
On the other hand source power is expansive. Source power wants to GIVE rather than get. Source power is like the SUN. It simply gives light, doesn’t care whether you approve of it or not. Source power always says “What is I can give” to add more love, happiness, prosperity, peace not just you but everyone else too. Source power is non-exhuasting. Source power is hugely supportive. Working with source seems to be more like a painter on his painting or a child playing with his toys. It’s childlike, loving, supportive basically.
Notice the struggle
What is it you are struggling over? Is it a relationship or money?
Note down what is you want in that.
Next write down is that ego’s desire or source power desires?
My Own Experience
I noticed I was looking at my work, my business, my profession to complete me. So basically what it meant was I am not complete. Success in my business completes me! How stupid can it get? How can my work ever complete me? Work is simply one of my avenues of expression. But funny are the wants of the ego. It forever wants “something” to feel complete.
Can that ever be Source Power’s desire? Ofcourse Not. The ego feels incomplete. It wants more drama, it wants always something to feel complete. And when it gets what it wants, it comes up with another story, wants something else.
The Hidden Trick
Focus on what is you can GIVE TO SOMEBODY in relationships and in your profession rather than what you can get.
So a good question to ask yourself is “What is I can give BEST to the client I am with so that it adds awesomeness to his/her life?” Notice that premise can ONLY COME FROM SOURCE.
Or in relationships ask yourself “What is BEST I can give in this relationship that will bring happiness to him/her?”
Maybe it’s simply a compliment or simply some minor appreciation that can mean a lot to this person. Or maybe simply an intention that this person be happy and fulfilled.
A Little Intention
My little intent as you read this article, may it give you peace, prosperity and happiness and may it help you be in sync with your Divine Self rather than the ego. Only the SOURCE could have that intention not the ego for sure. The ego would want approval even for this post. Get bothered about who says what. The source won’t care about it!
A few beautiful lines by the famous Sufi poet Hafiz:
‘Even After
All this time
The Sun never says to the Earth
You owe me
Look What happens With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky‘
