Every cloud has a silver lining it is said. Try and look for a silver lining when you feel grief. Chances are if you are high on emotional grief the silver lining never shows. Worse is even the good in life seems bad. The monkey mind, try and tame it, it revolts. Spiritual teachers preach what they understand of life. Does it make sense to us in our world? We anyway do know what is good for us, yet we do the opposite, what our thinking dictates us and we think “my heart told me to do this”. The heart is the seat of the greatest emotion, love, and it is already whole, complete, perfect, it can never make you do anything imperfect ever. So “thinking” is what is to be mastered.  Be a witness, the world is an illusion, says the Gita. There nothing beyond money, health, relationships most people want anyways. Try and be a witness to bad finances or a bad relationship or ill health and if you have any energy left you will serve your life, God, everyone with the choicest cocktail of abuses, hate and anger. See your business collapse or your close one die in your arms and the world falls apart. All the good, love, compassion that is already there also feels overshadowed by the gloomy thinking.

The Freedom Technique is a practical method I have developed that not only brings misery to an end, it also gets you what you want almost effortlessly. (I will cover that in next chapter. How to make a million dollars super smoothly).  Its almost a way to Miracles in life. Before that I want to thank people who taught me the way to have fun in life and live it fullest. Lester Levenson, the American spiritual master,  whose life revolved around girls, then misery and finally miracles and whose enlightenment happened in a penthouse in Manhattan. That sounds more of our kind.  Byron Katie, you rock. I am finally my Being thanks to all that you taught. I won thanks to you. This technique works miracles. I am still counting my miracles especially financial. The Freedom Technique is a very powerful tool for leading a life of power, control, peace and compassion. We are used to complicated lives so anything that is simple we tend to underplay its importance. Life is simple, in my view, and this technique is the simplest technique you have probably ever learnt, yet maybe the most powerful too.

Preface to the technique

I am NOT my feeling/emotion. I am whole, perfect and complete. I am NOT my thoughts/thinking. I am beyond this body. I am Freedom to choose anything, be anything. I CAN do, HAVE anything. I don’t need anything, I already have everything. Everything I want already exists. I am Perfection. Everything I see is Perfection, all I hear is Perfection. I am NOT my thoughts, I am beyond my thinking. I and another person are One soul, connected and one.

All this is the TRUTH, the real power, that is, that was and always would be. Whether you believe it or not doesn’t matter. If you don’t believe in the law of gravity you won’t start flying. It is THERE! The preface is scientifically proven too. Once the monkey mind sees proof for the above it will be tamed.

The mind logical reasoning, the ego, works on the concept of duality i.e life-death, poverty-abundance, can have- can’t have, good-bad, should-shouldn’t etc. This divide causes stress. Just reading about good-bad your mind has already started transmitting data about puritan values and sin. Funny is what was sin 300 years ago is now maybe a good value. Your mind sees the world from what it knows. Funny is the data in your mind isn’t even 1% of intelligence of all the data that is in this Universe. Then who are you decide what is what? It’s only your view. And if your view was so perfect you would already be a billionaire if you so wanted, have it all you always wanted or maybe dating the sexiest person. Yet you don’t. So download it through the Freedom Technique and feed in data that helps you get what you want.

Over lifetimes data through 5 senses through seeing, hearing, touch, feelings, smell is fed in the brain. When mind has proof for something it believes that to be true. As an experiment if you believe in something ask your mind for giving you proof for the opposite and it will have that too. That will then become a belief. So there is no truth in all this. Yet having lots of thoughts of wealth creates wealth, thoughts of romance creates romance etc. All is well till the other side the demon data, the -ve side, starts to show up and shows ‘your place’ of what your mind thinks of you. For most humans your thoughts are traitors. If they weren’t you would have it all.

The Freedom Technique seamlessly lets the rotten data flow away leaving you in the vortex of freedom of having what you want, without any of the drama of your burning desire. We are conditioned to expression i.e if you are angry you slap, suppression i.e. fearful about expression. Both don’t help. The Freedom Technique RELEASES it all smoothly leaving you feel tons lighter. Your chest and legs will feel so light after this technique. You will end up laughing or smiling for no reason. It gives you to the FREEDOM TO CREATE, TO CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT. You just HAVE YOUR DESIRE now, as opposed to wanting it and all the craving for it to happen. Manifestations happen so quick that its amazing.

The Freedom Technique not only quietens the mind but also develops the 6th sense once you stop your responses to the -ve data that is already there and isn’t helping you get what you want.

The Freedom Technique

You need

1 scrap book you can shred the data downloaded from your “thinking”

Step 1

Invite the bad emotion, feeling or anything that makes you sad, depressed or unfulfilled or any of the -ves.  Invite the thought now completely and be a WITNESS in the manner explained in this technique. Take a pen and start writing down not as “I”  but as if you are witnessing a scene.  Write “a part of me” sees _____, “another part me” of feels like________, “my chest” has sensations ______

    1. what is the thought that makes you feel this way
    2. what is you see that makes you feel this way
    3. where am I in this picture, thought, belief
    4. do you hear any sounds
    5. what emotions* do you have when this thought comes.  (simply choose your emotion from the list below)
    • Keep writing everything you see, hear, feel as a witness.  Write in this manner as if you are the driver and your feelings, emotions and thinking are different parts of the car.  So I am NOT the car or the steering or the bonnet. They are just small parts
    • A part of me sees_________, and then a part of me feels_______, my chest has _______sensations, my legs feel so__________. Another part of me feels this way__________
    • Keep writing everything and everything you have in your mind about that thought. Write everything that comes to your mind. Don’t censor or resist. Write out everything on the thought even if it takes pages and pages or even the entire scrap book!  Keep writing till your mind has NOTHING to say about it.

Step 2

Ask yourself what is I fear would happen if you didn’t believe in this thought

Step 3

Who AM I without this thought/thinking?

Go and enjoy life. The “stickiness” for that thought that caused pain has now gone. If it hasn’t go thru the exercise again because your mind may have some more thinking to release. Your response is now neutral, just as your response is to most other things in life that are perfect, good, peaceful in your view.

THE SUFFERING EMOTIONS
  • Apathy and related feelings such as cold, cut-off, dead, defeated, depressed, discouraged, disillusioned, drained, futile, hopeless, lost, numb, overwhelmed, resigned, shocked, stuck, worthless, neglected, unaccepted, insignificant, lifeless, abandoned, loveless, pessimistic, rigid, stagnant, stopped, insensitive, disconnected, depressed, defeated.

  • Resentment and related feelings such as exploited, harassed, frustrated, deprived, hurt, embarrassed, used, abused, confused, rejected, offended, unacknowledged, disappointed, ignored, hidden hostility.
  • Anger and related feelings such as aggressive, annoyed, defiant, demanding, disgusted, fierce, frustrated, furious, hatred, impatience, lack of control, mad, mean, outraged, rebellious, rude, spiteful, rigid, stern, stubborn, vengeful.
  • Antagonism and related compulsive feelings such as aloof, argumentative, arrogant, boastful, clever, contemptuous, craving, critical, demanding, driven, envious, frustrated, greedy, impatient, judgmental, manipulative, lack of acceptance or approval, need to be right, lust, obsessed, pushy, vicious, violent, righteous, ruthless, selfish, self-satisfied, snobbish, spoiled, superior, unforgiving, vain; wanting desperately to have or to hurt; wanting to make another wrong.
