One of the biggest cause of stress is Self Talk. Whether we are aware or not we have an inner spokesperson within us. A lot of times this inner spokesperson is relaying really lethal messages to us. We can be our own worst enemy at times.
Imagine how would you feel if all day all you saw and heard was negative data, critical self talk on how bad you are, fearful thoughts on how you could get into trouble or data on how awfully stuck you are. Nothing can ever work in this. Even the best thing in life will be covered with soot in this toxic negative self talk. And guess what that’s the kind of self talk most people have. To experience yourself talk simply sit down for 15 minutes and as a silent witness simply jot down whatever comes to your mind. No questions…. no judegements…. Simply write down whatever comes to your mind.
Well that is your inner self talk. Be prepared to be surprised with what have written.
A constructive and nurturing self talk means you feel loved and nurtured. A destructive self talk is literally destroying you without you even knowing.
